@Code-Jack can you supply a screenshot of what you mean by 'text fragment' in the editor is completely invisible? I don't seem to have this problem.
Additionally, please don't mix bugs all into the same issue because if we resolve one, but not another, it's hard for the system to properly manage the status. I would also say a quick screen recording could be helpful when describing specific behaviours you're looking for.
What is the attributes menu?
See the video, it shows both effects:
Ok, I think I understand your issue now. Two things:
1. Text selection in dark mode is too low contrast. Agreed. Can you confirm if it's ok in light mode for you?
2. Text styling menu does not move horizontally properly across a soft line break. It gets stuck.
This point about horizontal movement of the text styling menu, I think that's debatable. I've checked across a few different editors, and there are different types of implementations. I kind of like that ours hovers over the center point of your selection. For your original issue, if it wasn't to 'get stuck' then it would suddenly jump position on screen to move to the new center position—which is debatably worse than just leave it at its original position.
I've edited this issue to focus on the primary issue of text selection being too dark.
Nope, also in light mode is the contrast WAY too low.
It is not completely invisible there, but on the edge between invisibility and "I believe there could be something, maybe, but I'm not sure".
The thing with invisible or barely recognizable element, or text selections etc. etc., is an all time issue with Anytype/Anytwo, that I ONLY have in Any***.
I don't have this problem in Firefox, nor in the Brave Browser, nor in all other Apps I use. It's always only Any*** that has this issue and I can't get it why it never became fixed. Now they repeat the issue even in AnyTwo!
And about the moving attributes menu:
This isn't important for me. Decide yourself what you believe is the best solution.
For me it looked like a bug.
We've increased the contrast in both light mode and dark mode already. Check it out in the next version and give us feedback. I know that this is a big topic for you (and a few others), so rest assured we don't want to ignore your pain here.
I'm on v0.1.4 Alpha now.
And the issue with the bad visibility still persists, although it has become a little better (but not enough).
Here a video that shows the difference between:
1. AnyTwo
2. This feedback board in the Brave Browser
3. Anytype
(Oh, not possible)
I send you a PM in the normal forum, this board doesn't accept my video, it says "your comment is too long"
