Latex and Math Formulas
I'm not sure whether it's a bug or not and I'm aware that feature parity is rolling gradually on AnyTwo but I wanted to give my feedback on the current state of things.
- The inline math works as expected like other markdown editors and we can use it by writing the symbols and relations inside $...$. I even appreciate the fact that when completed, we can select the relation as a mini box and then edit the latex code only without messing up the other sentences in the paragraph and the block. It's one of my most wanted requested with Anytype. So, Thanks to the team.
- With regards to block equations, the situation is a little bit different which i'm not sure how much of it is a bug, and how much of it is left for future updates. But as of right now, we can enter the 'math' mode of the code snippet by writing $$ in the block editor. This is interesting and a welcome change.
- However, the result is not what I expected. So, when we enter the math mode either using the $$, or using the code-snippet block type and then switch to math, it shows both the latex formulas and the rendered version. This is to be expected when you are inside the block; however, it remains the same when you exit the block which is not what should happen. I expect to only see the rendered version when I exit the block.
- The other issue is that we also have a "latex" option in the code snippet block type but it doesn't render anything; it just highlights the syntax of Latex.
- When we copy the object as markdown, it doesn't export to markdown as expected which is a surprise since Anton mentioned in the community forum that the new editor is markdown based. So, I assumed that exporting and copying objects from Anytwo would have a identical result when opened in other markdown editors which is not the case. When I open the markdown copied version of the object and pasted into obsidian, I get the code snippet version and the YAML handling of Latex formulas in markdown which is not what we expect for our math notes.
- I hope that in future updates, also exporting from anytype, it would be a seemless transition between inline and block math from Anytype to AnyTwo since a new JSON format and Anytype Editor 2.0 and API 2.0 has been released.

Thanks for the feedback. For the conversational points, like #1 and #5, it's best to write that in our Anytwo chat.
For your other issues, you should break them down into their individual issues so they can be tagged, triaged, and resolved—otherwise it makes it quite difficult for the team to parse the issue and have it resolved.
Copy That. I will break all of them down into smaller issue and create new ones. I thought the improvement section can be used for this; giving a bit of context, explain what works and what needs to improve.
