Math block still displays LaTeX formulas outside edit mode

Block equations now support entering math mode via $$ in the block editor, which is a welcome addition. However, whether in $$ mode or the code-snippet block switched to math, both the raw LaTeX and the rendered output stay visible even after exiting the block. Showing both is fine while editing inside the block, but once I exit I’d expect to see only the rendered version.
