Object Link Block — customisable options
What's the problem?
Object Blocks are used to both create, link, and interact with objects on the fly in the editor. The most common scenario is to create a /task object directly in the editor and assign it to a person straight away — without navigating to the newly created task object.
The current object blocks are highly limited: all you can see is an icon and text

What's the solution?
Object blocks should display more information and can be directly interacted with in the editor without opening the object itself. This would open up many useful user flows. In the editor, create a /task object, assign a person, and mark as complete all directly in the page.
Block display options:
- Object icon — yes or no
- Object excerpt — beginning of page content that's truncated or description
- Properties — property values such as checkbox for tasks, tags, assignee, date, etc.
- Size — standard or large
Settings:
- Block display options should be standard across the type or linked collection.
- Should have a space-wide setting that is overridden by type/collection level settings.

Just to be clear, you're talking about an object block link inside the editor?
Yes

I edited it to be more clear.
Furthermore, it would be great to be able to display sizes, whether it shows as a small link block, a card with a much larger icon, or displays the cover image (if/when incorporated). Basically, would love to have the card view options back.
