Block inside callout and synced block

When you create a callout or a synchronized block, you can't create blocks directly inside them: you can only select the entire block (no sub-blocks).
However, it seems possible: you can drag titles, tables, etc., into a callout (or a synchronized block).

A selection handle should be added to the internal blocks to allow users to add or transform them.

I'm able to move blocks around and create blocks inside them? Can you post a screen recording of your issue?

When you create a liste, you can't change the first block because the only selectable block is the callout block.

If I want a callout with a list, that's a problem.

It seems to me that the problem was more significant before (we discussed it in the chat). Right now, it's still limited, but it might be related to the issue of not being able to move a block on the first line of a callout, since it's considered to be the callout itself. I opened a ticket: it's marked as “Done” but hasn't been deployed yet; I'll check on the next version.

(Yeah, another bug to report while I'm at it—I'll take a look at it later ;-))

Note that in a synchronized block:
- I create the block
- /header and type my text
- ENTER to start a new line: this does not create a text block (perhaps a different bug?)

And in the callout, the block's caption is somewhat limited in how it displays

  1. I don't know what you mean for the synced block issse. Either way, please post a separate issue rather than a comment here.
  2. What is a caption in the callout block?

It's done for both of them

I see what you mean. Yes, this is more of an issue due to the icon more than anything else. You'll see that Notion hasn't resolved this issue either.
The best way to do it is to actually move the blocks underneath to the top, rather than the first block moved down.
I can't think of a good UI solution that isn't visually messy.
