Columns formula for table
Formulas into simple table can be useful but in my case I use the column total the most.
Would it be possible to add this feature?
Either through an option in the column that adds the sum (and other values) at the bottom,
or by adding a fixed row at the bottom of the table (a footer) and improving the current formulas to include the sum of the entire column—though that seems more complex to me.

Can you elaborate. The simple table already has the ability to put in the SUM of a data range. Or are you simply requesting for a shortcut explicitly for this feature?
I haven't figured out how to do it. Is it impossible to select multiple cells (by dragging or one by one)? Or do you need to know how to write the formula directly?
Edit: Oh, that’s what the “:” is for! A tooltip or guide available when editing the formula would be helpful.
And if I add a row, my formula doesn’t take it into account (whether it’s below or in the middle of the selected rows). The range should be dynamic.
That’s why the “Add a footer” solution, with predefined formulas to calculate the total, would be easier to use.
And the screenshot shows a use case: simple financial tracking (for a child in my household). So they can add income and expenses and easily see how much they have left. A collection is too cumbersome (that’s what we did in Anytype, but it causes other issues). Maybe someday there’ll be a formatting option like “If contains ‘-’, turn red”—that would be great ;-)
Yes, I see what you mean. If you're familiar with Excel/Google Sheets, then it's self-explanatory. But for those who are not using those tools often, I can see how this should be improved. I'm not sure what the best approach to improve this in the UI would be.
