Triage

Contect menu for writing text should have one entry more (for the slash menu options)

What could be better?

If you write text and you press the right mouse key, the context menu gives you actually three options::

  1. Turn into
  2. Duplicate
  3. Delete block

(Sometimes there appears also a fourth entry: "Copy link to ...".

I request an additional entry: "Insert ...". --> It should be direct above or below "Turn into".
-- If this new entry becomes clicked, it should show everything what you could insert via the Slash command ("/").
For example the Embeds, or Links, etc. -- everything that makes sense in this context.

How so?

New users don't know that they get a lot more features if they press "/".
And it will need a long time until the finally find out about that.

Honestly: such things belong definitely into a right-click context menu!

The already existing entry "Turn into" is a good example for how to make things right (but btw.: this entry should have three dots after the title: "Turn into ..." <-- this is standard).

I believe that this tiny improvement will make a huge impact for new users!
They will not think "one can't do very much in this editor".

When I test new software, one of the very first things I do is to press the right mouse key, to look what features the context menu offers.
And in legacy Anytype, it has cost me some days to find out about the Slash menu! AnyTwo should make it better!

Thanks for the detailed breakdown — the right-click context menu gap for slash commands is clear. A few quick clarifications before this moves to the team:

  1. Scope: When you say "Insert..." should show slash menu options — do you mean ALL of them (embeds, links, media, etc.), or only the ones that make sense in context (e.g., if you're in a text block, skip block-level things like "Database")?
  2. Placement: You suggested "above or below 'Turn into'" — any preference? And should the submenu stay open after picking an insert option, or close after each one?
  3. "Turn into..." ellipsis: Noted — that's a UI consistency fix that should be bundled in, assuming the team agrees it's standard.

This is a real discoverability win for new users. Once we have those details locked, it's ready for design & engineering.
