New View: if there was only one View, "+" should duplicate it

What could be better?

Assume a Collection has only one View: "All". Further assume, the user has already configured it.
If he now clicks the "+" button, to add a new View, it gets actually a "random" appearence.

My suggestion:

If there was only one View, adding a new View via the "+" button should create a duplicate. of the first one.

How so?

In the upmost cases we can assume that the user wants to get a similar appearence as the already configured first View.

Thanks for the detailed suggestion — the video makes the use case clear. A couple of clarifications before we can move this forward:

  1. When you say the new View gets a "random appearance," what specifically resets or changes? (e.g., does it lose filters, sort order, grouping, column visibility, or something else?) A screenshot or short description of what you see vs. what you'd expect would help us nail the exact behavior.
  2. When you duplicate the first View, should it be an exact copy of ALL settings (filters, sorts, grouping, visible columns, etc.), or are there any settings you'd want to differ between the two — for example, should the duplicate start with the same name, or should it be renamed to "All (Copy)" or similar so you can tell them apart?
