Global search should show the amount of backlinks that a result has

What could be better?

I've already written a related request (with a video), but I got an error when I tried to link to that post, sorry if this is a duplicate!

The topic of this new request here was already hinted in the linked (not really linked. because of error while sending) request:
Global search should show how many backlinks the Pages in the results has.

How so?

It is an important information, if a Page in the results has many backlinks.
This information helps a lot to quickly pick the needed result (if the list of results is long).

Objects with many backlinks may be more important (and more often used) then pages with no backlinks, or only one.
The information about the amount of backlinks helps a lot to differentiate between less important and highly important results.

Imagine the list of results contains dozens (or even a hundred) entries.
You don't want to click on each of them to find the needed one.

Concrete example:
Let's assume I have a hundred songs from a certain singer. And I use the global search.
All the 100 songs are linked to the artist. But the Page about the artist has a hundred backlinks (to the 100 songs).
-- If I want to find this Page, I would see it on the first glance if the global search would show me that this Page has 100 backlinks.

Thanks for the detailed example — the backlink count as a search ranking signal makes sense. A few clarifications would help us scope this:

  1. Scope of "backlinks" — do you mean links from any page in the workspace, or only from pages the current user can see? (Filtering by visibility could change the count significantly.)
  2. Use case beyond search — would showing backlink counts in other places (like sidebar suggestions, or a properties panel) be equally useful, or is the search results list the main pain point?
  3. Current workaround — when you need to pick between results now, what do you do instead? (Click each one, use the sidebar preview, sort by date, etc.?)
