Tabs: display the name of the Space while the mouse hovers on a Tab

What could be better?

It's not always clear to which Space a Tab belongs.

Request:

Like in legacy Anytype, display the name of the Space while the mouse hovers on a Tab.

The video shows my different attempts to get this information, but I fail to get it anywhere.

Thanks for the detailed report and video — it's clear that discovering which Space a tab belongs to currently requires guessing or opening the tab itself. That's friction we can address.

A couple of clarifications to help us spec this right:

  1. Scope — should the hover show only the Space name, or would you find it useful to include other context (like whether it's a shared Space, or a count of objects in it)? What's the minimum that would solve your problem?
  2. Behavior in edge cases — if a tab is pinned or has unsaved changes, should the tooltip still appear on hover, or should those states take priority? Any concern about the tooltip obscuring the tab title itself?
