Group settings: another unnecessary sub-menu that causes friction

What could be better?

If you have grouping active in a View, and you click on the three dots of a group, you get a menu with only two(!) entries.

  1. Edit grpup
  2. Hide group

If you now click on "Edit group", a total unnecessary sub-menu opens.
-- Why on earth a friction-causing sub-menu for that?

Request:

Move all that's in that sub-menu into the first level of the three dots menu and then remove that unnecessary sub-menu!

It causes only friction to hangle through nested sub-structures!
Again: the level above has only two entries! And one of them is already the sub-menu.
-- That's absurd!

How so?

In addition to the main topic of this request, my video shows also a second suboptimal thing:
After the user has entered the sub-menu, and if he there clicks the button "Back to view settings" he may ask himself what's going on here?
-- He came from the menu with two entries and entered the sub-menu. The expectation would be, that the back-button brings him back to the menu-level above (with the two entries).

But forget that -- if you remove that unnecessary sub-menu, then does this additional issue have no substance anymore.

Thanks for the report — the video clearly shows the friction point. To help us prioritize this: when you're working with grouped views, how often do you find yourself adjusting group settings (beyond the initial setup)? And are there specific group edits you make repeatedly, or is it mostly a one-time configuration per view?
