Any Desktop v0.1.3
New
- Opening an object that's in the bin now shows its status and, when available, the date it was moved there.
- Members with editing access can now restore an object from the bin directly from its page.
- In spaces with no collections, Add to collection now explains collections and offers one-click creation that also adds the current page.
Improved
- Image and video links in Formats → Files now show a "Preview" tooltip instead of "Download".
- A web link in a page now reads in the page's own text colour, marked only by its underline, instead of standing out in bright blue.
- The ~a mark in the desktop app icon is lighter.
- The "Checking for updates…" card now shows a spinner while the check runs.
- Screen readers identify the update-checking card as "Checking for updates…".
- Dialogs that ask you to type something — a new connector, a bookmark, a key — now share one look, with taller fields and buttons.
- While such a dialog is saving, its button shows a spinner and the dialog can't be closed halfway through.
- Save errors appear below the dialog's fields and are announced to screen readers.
- Quotes have updated spacing, and their vertical line now spans the full body height.
- Callouts have updated spacing and smaller icons.
- Toggles have updated title spacing, body indentation, and expand/collapse arrows.
- Lists inside quotes, callouts, columns, and toggles now use the same spacing as lists elsewhere in the document.
- Agent wrap-ups explain the reason for stopping in clearer language, such as a conversation memory limit or your request to stop.
- Agent wrap-up messages now suggest saying "continue" to pick up where it left off.
Fixed
- Returning to a chat or opening one with unread messages no longer shifts the thread as older reactions appear. Existing reactions start at full size; new reactions still animate in.
- Line breaks typed in a chat message are kept in the sent message.
- Line breaks in agent messages are also preserved instead of being folded into spaces.
- Clicking an image or a video in Formats → Files opens it in the viewer instead of handing it to the browser.
- Videos opened from Files now play correctly even when they aren't attached to an object.
- Messages arriving while you switch views no longer go missing from the chat and leave an unread badge you can't clear.
- Object changes that arrive while switching spaces are now picked up when you return, rather than leaving the space out of date.
- Chat jumps from the @ button, unread reactions, and reply quotes now check recent messages before older history, so missed recent messages can be found.
- When a jump really cannot find its message, the chat says so in words that match what you clicked.
- Member cards, including those opened from reactions, no longer offer Send message in agent-owned spaces, avoiding direct chats with the built-in agent's internal accounts that never answer.
- The member list of a space no longer goes stale when many membership changes arrive at once; it re-reads itself instead of waiting for you to leave and come back.
- Identity lists now refresh automatically when a burst of changes causes updates to be missed.
- Opening a link to an object in a space you can't access now shows an access message instead of taking you to an unrelated space.
- Chat links to objects in the current space now indicate when the destination is in the bin.
- Windows and Intel Mac installers are included in desktop releases and nightlies again.
- Existing Windows and Intel Mac installations can receive desktop updates again.
- Switching tabs or flipping a toggle in Settings no longer causes a double haptic pulse on MacBook trackpads.
- Returning to a chat now restores your draft's cursor position and keeps it in view. If no cursor position was saved, it starts at the end of the message instead of the top.
- Removed the bogus "Collection" entry from collection lists and pickers, preventing errors when adding a page to a collection.
- Backspace on a toggle's empty first body line now removes it and moves the cursor to the title when the body has more than one block. Its only empty line stays in place.
- Pasting a plain object link at the chat cursor now attaches it when the object is available in "Link an object". Links to other spaces or specific locations remain text; pasting over selected words still links those words.
- Pressing Enter in the middle of a heading now continues as plain text instead of creating a second heading.
- An image staged in the chat composer now lines up with the message text and other attachments instead of sitting further left.
- The object link picker no longer closes when you scroll while it is open; the page holds still behind it and the picker's own list keeps scrolling.
- Hovering an unnamed image in chat no longer shows an empty tooltip.
- Uploaded photos in chat now show their filename on hover.
- The Money property type is no longer offered when adding a property.
- Existing Money values are preserved and shown as read-only data instead of formatted amounts.
- Clicking "Today", a count or the empty space at the end of a sidebar row now opens that row.
- Update download progress stays within 0–100% and shows 0% when a valid value isn't available.
- Converting a line to a list or changing its block type inside a quote or callout with other blocks now keeps the surrounding container intact.
- Pasting an object link into an empty editor paragraph now creates an object card instead of showing the raw URL. Pasting over selected text continues to link the selected words.
- Pasting an object link into existing text now inserts a named inline link instead of a raw address.
- Pasted older-format object links that include a space now keep working after saving and reopening a page.
- Embedded editors now reject object-link pastes that would exceed their content size limit before changing your text.
- Clicking beside an open or closed toggle now keeps the page in place and puts the cursor in its title, including toggles at the start of nested callouts.
- The agent no longer treats unavailable actions as successfully completed, helping it catch mistakes instead of silently skipping work.
- GLM-5.3 Flash and other supported GLM-5 Flash models can now read images without an incorrect unsupported-media error.
- Image requests to text-only Mercury models are now rejected as unsupported.
