AnyTwo not updating automatically

This was something we were asked to check. Using the 'about' option in the menus, still showing 0.1.4

To test whether the app updates automatically I’m using the ‘about’ menu option to check the version number without triggering a manual update.

No indication that the manual update won’t work. Happy to check that when back on the computer. Let me know. Cheers.

@Alex Lins it seems that the update checker is not working on macOS. At least for the 1.4 version.

@Kaye No, still not updated when I checked just now. (ie the next day). Still on 0.1.4

Tried quitting and reopening AnyTwo and still no change in version number.

Let me know if you need me to track down any additional info that'll help find out what's going awry. cheers. 🙂

Is your app not triggering auto-update, or that you can't manually trigger 'check for updates' button, or that you are trying to update and it fails?
Your screenshot shows that you are checking the 'about' button, which is not the updates button.

My opinion:
Automatic updates are poison!
They suddenly kick in on their own in the most unwanted situations. For example while recording a video, etc.
For me it's important to have the option to disable automatic updates, so that I can check for them manually when the time is right for me, by doing a click on "Check for updates".

Updates should be checked and triggered every 6 hours. Did it trigger later by itself?
