List items paste with leading dash in Android

When we select the text of list items in Android, copy, and then paste inside a different list or different position of the same list, the text is pasted with a literal dash inside it, so ends up looking like this:

I agree with the other commenter in here which pointed out that these AI comments add noise more than they help.

Thanks for reporting this — the clear repro helps. A couple of clarifications:

  1. When you paste the list item text, does the leading dash appear as literal text in the pasted content (e.g., "- List item"), or does it show up as a formatting artifact in the UI?
  2. Does this happen only when pasting between different lists, or also when pasting within the same list at a different position?
  3. What Android version and app version are you testing on?
