The same error is displayed multiple times

What went wrong?

I get the impression that some errors display a message in red without checking whether it's already been displayed.

We should avoid duplicates: I had three this morning, and now I'm up to four, as shown in the screenshot.

In fact, we should:

- have more information about the error; otherwise, it just causes worry and serves no purpose

- stop displaying it once it's no longer relevant (a temporary synchronization issue, for example)

- and therefore, avoid displaying the same error twice

Thanks for reporting this — the screenshot is helpful. A few clarifications would help us triage it properly:

  1. What error message do you see repeated? (the text of the red message itself)
  2. When did these start appearing? (roughly how long ago, and did anything change in your setup around that time?)
  3. Do they clear on their own, or do you have to dismiss them manually? If manual, how?

Once we understand the exact message and whether it's tied to a specific action or just appears over time, we'll know whether this is a deduplication bug or something else.
