Global search: impossible to get back the restriction to a certain Space

What could be better?

In my video, I use the global search.
At start, the search is restricted to my main Space: "Code-Jack's test Space".

Then, because I wanted to see if there are also results in other Spaces, I then removed the Space restriction. (There was no other results, but that's not important for this report).

The problem appears when I want to get the restriction back, to see only results from my main Space:
There is no way to get the Space restriction back!

-- The user needs to end the search and restart it, to get the restriction back.

What I request:

It should always be possible to switch all available restrictions on and off whenever wanted (without the need to leave and restart the global search function).

How so?

It's very confusing for the user, if deactivated search options simply disappear so that it becomes impossible to reactivate them!

Thanks for the detailed report and video — that clearly shows the issue. A couple of clarifications would help us track this down:

  1. When you removed the Space restriction, did the filter UI disappear entirely, or did it stay visible but just show "all Spaces" selected? (The video cuts off at that moment, so I want to confirm what you're seeing.)
  2. After removing the Space filter, can you re-apply it by clicking in that area again, or is there genuinely no UI element left to interact with?

Understanding exactly where the control vanishes will help us figure out whether this is a display bug or a logic issue in how filters reset.
