Why is it possible to drag the Collection's or Object's name?

What went wrong?

Is it a bug or an unfinished feature?

If a Collection is open (or an Object) it is possible to drag its title (or a part of the title) with the mouse.
-- My video recording software somehow interferes with the effect (it is stronger when no recording runs), but nevertheless, you see the effect.

The function seems to have no purpose; nothing happens if I try to drag the title to the Tabs bar, or out of the window. Therefore I suppose it must be a bug. -- Especially because it often happens, that not the complete name moves, but only a part of it.

What should happen?

No dragging possible. Especially not of parts of the title.

Thanks for the report — the video is helpful. A couple of clarifications so we can nail this down:

  1. When you drag the title text, does it select/highlight the text instead of dragging it as a draggable element? (That would point to text selection behavior rather than a drag handler.)
  2. Does this happen on Collection names, Object names, or both — or does it vary?
  3. What browser and OS are you on? The partial-text movement you mention might be a rendering quirk specific to your setup.
