Property Called Collections

It would be nice to have a property to show the Collections a Type belongs to. For example, I create People type and have two collections; Author and Contact. It would be nice to have a view that shows the Collections a People belongs to.

Could you please elaborate why you would need it as a separate property? Would be great if you explain some concrete use case.

As I explained, I have a People type which has collections of Author and Contact. When I look at the People view, I would like to see which people are members of the Author and/or Contact collections.

The way views appear to work, the columns in the table are properties and I can not see the Collections as they are not a property.

Does that help?

But there is IMHO no need for that.
In the header of the Objects are your two Collections "Author" and "Contact".
If you hover the mouse about one of them, a tiny button appears that opens the Collection. There you can see the members.
After that, hitting the "Back" button, brings you back to your Object.

It needs exactly one mouse click to open one of the Collections.
And it needs exactly one mouse click to bring you back to the Object.

A Property "Collection" would also need one click to look in it, as well a a second click to get that view away.

So, I can't see a reason for your request.
(But I'm only a normal user here, not a dev.)

Why should I have to click a view to understand where an object belongs? If there is a Collection "Property", then I just add it as a column in the People view. Done. No clicking.

But now you mix two things up:
1. First you have explained, that you want to see what other people are in the same Collection (at least this is what I've understood).
2. Now you write that you want to see, to which Collection the Object belongs.
-- That's a different thing and for that is no need at all. Because you have added the Collection in the header, where it appears as a Tab with the Collection's name. This Tab also shows all the Properties of that specific Collection.

So, everything is already there.
If you still think different, please explain it more precise.
