Editor: Inline Tasks
- Create a task object inside the editor with a command, such as
/task - The task should have a backlink to the object it was created in.
- The task should then show up in the Task mini app.

·9 days agoHi, thanks a lot for the suggestion. Could you add a bit more detail? What’s your use case?
I'm not the OP, but here's a use case:
I'd like to be able to make all my notes on today's Journal page (I would then link them to relevant pages elsewhere). When I find something that needs, action, I'd create an inline task which (I hope) would then appear on my central task list. That way I maintain the flow of note taking have my Journal;l pages as the ultimate source and have notes and tasks visible in their relevant collections.
Hope that makes sense
From what I can understand, it is something like logseq. And I have opened a few FR, that closely resembles that. And it could also work as a foundation to support this functionality. Don't forget to upvote if it is something you want.
Hi, the use case Nick described is also my main use case. Furthermore, when taking meeting notes or project notes I want to write down all the tasks in the respective note and link them to the respective collection (e.g. a project).
In my current user cas, I have pages about differents subjets (I have pages on various topics (related to Anytwo ^^).
I'd like to be able to add tasks to a page; for example, on a page with column tests, if I notice a bug, I can add a task to the page titled “Create a ticket regarding the columns.”
Aside from ongoing tests, I also have meeting pages, for example, with tasks on them.
The general idea is to be able to add a task anywhere because they can pop up anywhere. And ideally, to easily assign a person and a date to it (and a reminder).
A task shouldn’t be confined to a miniapp ;-).
I'm not sure I completely understand the request—who would actually want inline formatting rather than just block formatting? That would be nice too, but in that case it's a little different from my comment; sorry if that's the case.
