Tasks with three-state checkbox
Something what I have missed in Anytype are checkboxes that do not simply work binary, but have three states.
This becomes handy for example for a shopping list, where each entry is a separate Page with a checkbox (a Task).
For a shopping list, I need to differentiate between:
- Need to buy it
- Bought it
- Couldn't get the needed item
The third state in this case would inform a partner in a shared Space immediately, that he/she needs to look for it in another store.
I know, as a workaround, without this feature, a Select Property can serve a similar purpose.
But a Checkbox has advantages in the real usage. It is integrated in the Name. And on a phone for example, it's quicker and more reliable to use, then a Select box.
(Imagine you have 50 items on your shopping list.)
There are even real cases, where not only two or three states are needed, but four.
Therefore, the user should be able to configure how many states the checkbox should have: two, tree, or four.
Surely all of you know this from a torch:
On / dimmed / blinking / Off
Each tap on the button switches to the next state in the list that then loops.
For the example with the shopping list, the fourth state (that I often needed) could have the meaning "Don't buy this item!" or, in most cases: "Not decided yet"

Just like numbers that can be shown as bar/percent. The select could have "show as a switch" which on a left click selects next option in the select, and with a right click it moves back in the options list.
Which could be utilized on tasks too.
