Requesting to join a space should show the space in the spaces

When I join a channel, it pops up "Join request sent — waiting for the space owner to approve". But that is for that moment when I click join.

There is NOTHING for future me to check if I have successfully sent a join request to that space in the past. And I'll have to re-paste the join code and request again.

Solution

The space should be temporarily be shown in the spaces with a status text "Request pending" while it is still in the pending phase.

Target audience

Everyone who joins a space and where the request approval time is quite high.

Completely agree, relying solely on fleeting toast notifications is frustrating. Rather than just fixing the individual space state, AnyTwo would massively benefit from a dedicated Inbox / Activity Center that consolidates both space management and persistent alerts:

1. Actionable Requests (Top Section / Dedicated View)

  • Outgoing Requests: A clear overview of spaces you've requested to join, showing real-time status (Pending, Approved, Declined), so you never have to re-paste join codes or wonder if it failed.
  • Incoming Requests: If you own or manage spaces, a unified hub to accept/decline member join requests across all your spaces in one click, without digging through space settings.

2. Collaboration & Mentions

  • Aggregated mentions (@username) across all joined spaces/channels, making it easy to catch up on conversations without hopping between spaces.

3. Persistent System & Assistant Notifications

  • Changelogs / Version Updates: When a new build drops, keep a persistent card linking to the release notes so users can review it when convenient.
  • Assistant / Maintenance Alerts: Proactive notifications from the assistant (e.g., suggestions to clean up redundant files, space maintenance tips, download status...)

UX Layout Idea: An Inbox split into two zones:

  • Top / Pinned: Critical action items (Pending requests to approve/review).
  • Feed / Tabs: Filterable history (Mentions, Space Activity, and System/Assistant alerts).

Moving away from ephemeral popups toward a persistent Activity Hub would solve this onboarding bottleneck and prepare AnyTwo for serious multi-space workflows.
