Images in Views derived from Object
For a whiskey collection, I want an image of the bottle for each bottle.
For an app collection, I want an image showing each app.
For contacts, there’s an equivalent, so that’s fine.
In practice:
- I want to be able to see the associated image when I view the page for a whiskey/app/etc.
- I want to be able to display it in my collection (or my view once we have views), in different display formats (typically large gallery view; smaller in grid mode; etc.)
Putting it on the page rather than as a property works if—and only if—the collection views allow it to be displayed afterward. But in my opinion, in some cases it’s cleaner and more reliable to have a property rather than a layout element (which causes problems when you want to redesign all the entries, as discussed for Anytype).
Technically, whether to store it on the property or list it online, I don't have an opinion—as long as it can be displayed, I don't want a link.

Can you elaborate further on what you want and why? Do you mean a relation property where you reference an image as an object?

This is very handy, thank you. I will update the issue with this helpful context.
Another case : here, I store a photo of the work done on the property
