Blocks in collections

If you write longer texts, sometimes you want certain blocks to be more than pure text. Sometimes you need to add meta data to a specific block. Maybe you mention a person or a location or a movie.

Of course, you can then add a collection to the whole object the block is in. If the text in this object is very long, it will be difficult to find the very detail that made you put the object in this collection in the first place.

On the other hand, you could turn the block into an object, but like it is in anytype, it doesn't behave like pure text anymore.

Hey Zak, mate!
I believe you request has potential.
But before I upvote it, I would like to understand it better what you have in mind.
-- I've seen similar requests.

Could you please give a concrete example?

Hey mate, thank you.
Imagine, for example, you're writing a book with a story in that you have characters, locations, events, NPCs and so forth.

To keep an cross-overview, it would help a lot if you could mark certain descriptions with a property or tag. For example, event descriptions, character descriptions, so that you can look them up afterwards in anaggregated way. For example all blocks with information about "Cody Johnson", the main character.

Could be helpful if you write your thesis too. You could get together all text fragments concerning a certain topic that are scattered throughout your space in different objects with one searchor one collection-query.

Does this make more sense?
