Nightly
Any Desktop v0.1.5-nightly.20260926.2
New
- In Settings → Preferences, turn on Justify document text to align both edges of paragraphs and lists in left-to-right or right-to-left writing. It is off by default, applies only to this device and does not change saved text.
- Insert Mermaid diagrams and LaTeX equations from the slash menu.
- Embed OpenStreetMap maps, SoundCloud tracks, and Draw.io diagrams from supported public links.
- Sort a table's rows by any column, ascending or descending, from the cell's right-click menu or the column grip menu. The header row stays put; blank cells go last.
- Sorting puts numbers, including currency and grouped digits, before text; text sorts naturally in your language without case differences, and formulas use their displayed values. The order is saved and can be undone in one step.
- Insert images and code blocks inside table cells.
- Code blocks in table cells preserve their language and exact text through copying, pasting, saving and reopening.
- Image uploads started in a table cell keep their original destination while you continue editing.
- If the table cell for an image upload is no longer available, the editor tells you the image could not be inserted.
- With Side peek open, press ↓ or ↑ from the listing or peek header to open the next or previous item in Collections, Wiki, Types or standalone tables. Arrows in editors, fields and menus keep their normal behavior.
- Side peek steps follow sorting, filters, search and open groups, skip collapsed groups, and visit items shown in several groups only once.
- Side peek switches items in place without adding history entries or replaying the split animation, and preloads nearby items to avoid blank-body and word-count flashes.
- Each Side peek step scrolls the row clear of sticky headers and focuses its title; closing the peek or pressing Escape returns focus to that row.
- Holding an arrow key moves through Side peek items without queuing extra steps during slow frames, so navigation stops when you release the key.
- If the item open in Side peek leaves the visible order, the next down-arrow step continues with the item that took its place.
- The Keyboard shortcuts panel now lists the next and previous Side peek item shortcuts under Navigation.
Improved
- File and collection lists in Files, Archive and Formats now provide a loading status for screen readers.
- Journal and Bookmarks now provide a loading message for screen readers while the space's contents are being read.
- Chat Details now provides a loading status for screen readers while attachments are loading.
- In an empty callout, the first Backspace removes its icon and the second removes the callout, so you can make a callout without an icon from the keyboard.
- When sorting from a column menu, screen readers now hear whether rows were sorted, were already in order or could not be sorted.
- Opening an app in a space for the first time makes far fewer requests to the server.
- When a space's app data fails to load, affected views now consistently show their existing retry state.
- Icons picked from the Lucide set now use the same line weight as the built-in icons.
- The member profile card in chat is narrower and has rounder corners.
Fixed
- Deleted areas, projects and tasks no longer remain in the Tasks app.
- Deleted bookmarks no longer remain in Bookmarks.
- Projects whose area is archived now appear without an area in Tasks.
- A card or picture pasted into a collapsible section's title now moves into the section's body, instead of breaking the whole section the next time the page opens.
- Object links pasted or inserted with @ or [[ into an empty collapsible section title now move into the body instead of breaking the section when reopened.
- Inline math typed in a collapsible section title now moves into the body, so the section still works after reopening.
- Pasting a card or picture into a collapsed section's title now opens the section and moves the caret to the pasted content.
- Pasting a card into a section title is now blocked if moving it into the body would exceed the document's size limit.
- Files, the Archive's Files tab and the Formats app no longer flash "No files in this space yet", "No files in the Archive" or "No objects yet" while the list is still loading.
- Files, the Formats app's file lists and the Archive's Files tab now wait for the full file list instead of briefly showing only files already seen in chats.
- Files and the Archive's Files tab now show a load error when a file list cannot be read, rather than showing an empty archive or a partial list.
- Opening Journal in a space for the first time no longer flashes "No entries yet." and an empty page for today before your entries appear.
- Opening Bookmarks in a space for the first time no longer flashes "Nothing saved here yet." or "0 saved" before your saved links appear.
- Opening a bookmark in an Area no longer loses that bookmark while the space loads.
- An object or file card you copy and paste into a list item or a heading now turns into a link in the text straight away, so the line looks the same after you reopen the page.
- Pressing Backspace at the start of a card's line below a list item, or turning a card's line into a list item or heading, now leaves a text link that looks the same after reopening.
- Turning an image in a list item into a file now shows an inline link immediately, matching how it appears after reopening the page.
- When a single selected card turns into a text link, the caret moves after the link so you can keep typing.
- A chat's Details no longer says there are no photos, files or links while it is still loading them.
- A video sent to a chat no longer shows up under Files in Details before Details knows what the file is.
- When a chat's photos, files or links cannot be loaded, Details says so instead of showing an empty chat.
- Searching in chat Details no longer reports no matches before file names have loaded.
- File attachments in chat Details no longer briefly appear as nameless "File" cards while their names are loading.
- Opening or closing a reply or an edit in the chat composer no longer shows an empty gap between the quoted message and the input.
- In Tasks, collapsing an area, opening a task, completing a task and dragging several tasks no longer leave empty gaps under the rows as they fold.
- A new reaction under a message grows from the same line as the reactions beside it instead of floating above them.
- In Tasks, opening or closing an area with the keyboard now happens at once, instead of sliding as it does for a click.
- Dragging a project over a closed area in Tasks now opens the area at once, while the rows around it slide into place.
- Opening or closing a task in the desktop app no longer makes the tasks below it jump before the details slide open.
- Undo after inserting or deleting a table row or column, toggling a header, or inserting a formula from a table menu now restores the table as it was.
- Adding an object from a table, a group, the toolbar or List layout now keeps the existing Side peek open instead of returning to the full collection.
- Use the arrow key pointing out of inline code to step outside it and type regular text before or after it; the opposite arrow steps back in. This also works in right-to-left text.
- Enter or Shift+Enter at the end of inline code starts the next line as regular text instead of more code.
- The caret now appears outside the inline-code chip when your next keystroke will enter regular text.
- Tables in synced blocks now share column widths, row heights and header-column settings across copies on the same device, with changes appearing immediately even in read-only copies.
- Table sizes and header-column settings in synced blocks now survive a reload on the same device.
- Empty-document and typing prompts no longer flash before text loads, including when opening or switching Journal entries, contact notes, skills or connectors.
- Reopening a Journal entry you just wrote no longer flashes the empty-day prompt before its text.
- Copy Markdown on a Journal entry you just started now includes what you wrote.
- If a Journal draft finds an entry already exists for that day, the entry opens with your newly added text immediately.
- A YouTube link you selected and copied yourself (from Anytype, a web page, or a chat) now offers to paste as an embed, like a link copied from the browser's address bar.
- On Windows, a link or Markdown text copied from another app now pastes as a link or formatted text instead of plain text.
- A block link you selected and copied now offers to paste as a synced block.
- Bullet dots and list numbers now sit closer to their text, with numbers centered beside the line. Nested bullets use the same spacing within their own row.
- Hovering the member count in a space with many members now wraps the list of names inside the window instead of running it off the edge.
- Pasting a heading from a page into an object's name no longer adds the heading's
##marks to the name. - When a copied heading and following content are pasted into an object's name, the content sent to the body keeps its rich formatting.
- Pasting several lines into an object's title no longer merges the extra lines into the first block of the body, or turns a heading there into plain text.
- Pasting a title followed by a block link or supported embed link, such as YouTube, keeps the first line as the title and puts the link on its own first body line, without merging it into existing text or opening Paste as.
- Replacing a whole page with a title and a block link now sets the title correctly and inserts the link into the body without opening Paste as.
- New rows in grouped tables are now scrolled clear of the group and column headers.
- Shift-click selection in grouped tables now follows open sections in display order. Items appearing in several groups use their first visible appearance.
- Select all, selection counts and Delete in grouped tables now cover only rows shown in open sections, excluding rows found only in hidden or collapsed sections.
- Collapsing a group now deselects its rows unless they are still shown in another open group.
- After following a link from Side peek, Back returns to the collection with the same object open. Forward restores the destination without carrying that peek along.
