Nightly

Any Desktop v0.1.7-nightly.20261007.1

New

Editor

  • Tab and Shift+Tab now indent and outdent checklist items, the same way they already do for bulleted and numbered items.
  • Close a tab with Cmd/Ctrl+W, open a new tab with Cmd/Ctrl+T, and reopen the last closed tab with Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+T.
  • Reopen up to 20 recently closed tabs in each window, restoring their position, page, side peek and tree selection. This history clears on reload or sign-out.
  • Collapse the Spaces and Direct sections in the sidebar from their labels, the same way as Favorites.

Desktop app

  • The File menu now includes New Tab, Close Tab and Reopen Closed Tab, acting only on the focused window.

Accessibility

  • Toggle the Spaces and Direct section labels with Enter or Space; screen readers announce whether each section is expanded or collapsed.

Improved

Editor

  • Phone and text-message links can now be pasted over selected text.
  • Phone and text-message links can now be entered directly in the link picker.
  • The font's alternate symbols now also appear in titles and headings, including × for x between digits and raised punctuation between capital letters.

Chat

  • Phone and text-message links now open from chat messages, as they already did in pages.
  • IRC, IRCS and XMPP addresses no longer appear as clickable links in chat.
  • Reply by double-clicking the empty parts of a chat message, its timestamp or the space beside it. Double-clicking words still selects them; links, reactions and attachments keep their own gestures.

Collections & Library

  • Resize the symbol selector with the mouse or keyboard to browse more choices at once, including collection and space icons, chat emoji and page callouts.

Files

  • File sizes read the same everywhere, in decimal units with a space (2.4 MB), matching what Finder and phones show.

Spaces & members

  • A join request notification now updates to the person's name when it arrives, instead of showing a cut-off ID.
  • Object search in chat attachments ranks names where your search starts a word higher, matching the editor's link menu.
  • Wiki's Add existing search now also finds objects by their visible collection label, with name matches ranked first.
  • Closing the final tab leaves the app open with an empty tab.
  • The new tab shortcuts appear in shortcut help and cannot be reassigned by custom shortcut settings or imports.
  • Keyboard shortcuts on macOS are written in the system's order, for example ⇧⌘M instead of ⌘⇧M, in hints, menus and the shortcuts list.
  • The sidebar remembers which sections (Favorites, Spaces, Direct) you collapsed on this device, including after a restart.
  • The + buttons stay available while Spaces or Direct is collapsed, without reopening the section when you create a space or chat.

Desktop app

  • On supported macOS versions, Activity Monitor now labels the app's page processes "AnyTwo Nightly".

Fixed

Editor

  • Emoji suggestions while typing : in chats and pages hide unsupported symbols when your device's emoji support can be detected.
  • Links pasted from formatted content into pages now handle opening parentheses in their addresses correctly.
  • Arrows typed as ->, <- or <-> now show as arrow symbols in page titles and large headings, not only in tables.
  • Turning an indented bulleted or numbered list into a checklist no longer shows a second, inactive checkbox beside nested items.
  • Editing a block's text or changing its type now preserves unrelated styling, such as its color.
  • Page saves that exceed text or block-placement limits now leave the page unchanged instead of partially saving it.
  • Moving or extensively rewriting a block no longer deletes its nested blocks.

Chat

  • Links in chat now handle spaces in their addresses correctly.
  • Starting a reply from the menu or by double-click returns the cursor to the message box, even when changing an open reply or replying to the same message again.
  • Replying by double-click no longer leaves stray text highlighted.

Collections & Library

  • Fast scrolling through collections now keeps the frozen Name column visible and aligned with its rows, without showing other properties through it.
  • Calendar-day Date properties now sort by the displayed day in collection and Library views. Rows on the same day use the next sort rule, then name; Date & time sorting is unchanged.
  • A quick click with slight pointer movement no longer leaves the grabbing cursor stuck after using the Library's Types or collections lists.
  • Hover controls in the Library's collections tree no longer stay inactive after a quick click with slight pointer movement.

Tasks

  • A quick click with slight pointer movement no longer leaves task rows hidden and unresponsive.
  • Project rows no longer stay hidden after a quick click with slight pointer movement.

Bookmarks

  • Bookmark rows no longer remain dimmed or ignore clicks after a quick click with slight pointer movement.

Bao

  • Existing Bao chats keep the message box, draft, reply controls and Stop available when an API key is rejected or deleted, even after you leave and return.
  • Bao no longer has to wait for a stalled spaces-list refresh to find its space.

Spaces & members

  • A join request you already approved or declined no longer asks for approval a second time.
  • Join request notifications close automatically when the request is resolved in Members or on another device.
  • A stalled spaces-list load now times out after 20 seconds, allowing later refreshes to try again.
  • Permanently deleting an untitled object from the Archive now asks about "Untitled" instead of showing a fragment of its internal id.
  • A quick click with slight pointer movement no longer leaves a sidebar space and its apps invisible.
  • Hover controls in object trees and Favorites no longer stay inactive after a quick click with slight pointer movement.

Desktop app

  • On Linux, Ctrl+V and Shift+Insert now paste screenshots and browser-copied images into pages or chats.
  • Ctrl+Q now quits the Linux desktop app, and File has a Quit item.
  • Menu keyboard shortcuts on Linux keep working when the menu bar is hidden.

Performance

  • Fixed growing memory use when a chat stays open at the latest messages. Older messages still load when you scroll up.
  • Fixed gradual memory growth caused by network activity during long desktop sessions.

Other

  • Interrupted local-data exports now fail instead of appearing to finish successfully.
